Shift10 Day is a great reminder to support local businesses, and, in honor of the occasion, we're sharing some of our favorite places to shop local on Long Island!

• Kennedy Plaza Farmers Market - 307-369 National Blvd., Long Beach, NY 11561
  One of the best places to get fresh, local produce on Long Island, the Kennedy Plaza Farmers Market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May through November. In addition to locally grown fruits and veggies, you'll find an amazing variety of local, handmade goods ranging from soaps and candles to baked goods and preserves.   Aldo Maiorana has been roasting coffee and baking biscotti at Aldo's Coffee Company since 1987. It's become a staple of the Greenport Community, and one of Long Island's truly great coffee shops. To this day, every cup of coffee you get at Aldo's is made using beans roasted in-house in small batches.
