The holidays will be here before you know it, and this year there are plenty of great ways to get into the holiday spirit! This time of year, our REALTORS® love visiting local craft fairs, watching holiday performances, and more. They also enjoy sharing all the best upcoming events with new residents. 

To make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun, we've gathered a list of five local holiday events you won't want to miss. So mark your calendars, gather up your family and friends, and head out to enjoy all the great things Long Island has to offer!

1. East Islip Craft Fair: East Islip High School - 1 Redmen St. Islip Terrace, NY 11752 
   If you've been checking out Nassau County homes for sale, you might already be familiar with East Islip High School. Not only is it a great place to send your kids, but it's also the location of the East Islip Craft Fair. This is one of the best places to shop local for your holiday gifts. 
   
   The event will be held on Saturday, November 13th from 10 am to 4 pm and will feature many exhibitors with handmade items. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.
   
   
2. The Great All Nighter: Bizarre Bazaar: Cradle of Aviation Museum - Charles Lindbergh Blvd, Garden City, NY 11530
   A unique spin on the traditional craft fair, the Bizarre Bazaar features a curated collection of items from some of Long Island's most talented makers. Here you'll find antiques, art, records, handmade goods, and more. 
   
   This event is scheduled for Friday, November 26th from 7 pm to midnight and Saturday, the 27th from 10 am to 5 pm. While you're in the area, we recommend taking a drive around so you can get a look at some of the great Garden City homes for sale. 

3. 42nd Annual Holiday Festival: Stony Brook Village Center - 111 Main St., Stony Brook, NY 11790
   If you've been thinking about buying one of the beautiful Stony Brook homes for sale, you'll want to pay a visit to the city's 42nd Annual Holiday Festival. There will be a Legends & Spies Puppet Procession, holiday train display, carolers and live music, a tree decorating contest, a chance to sit and chat with Santa, and more.
   
   The event will be held on Sunday, December 5th from noon to 6 pm. There will also be a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 pm on the Village Green.

4. A Christmas Carol: Theatre Three - 412 Main St., Port Jefferson, NY 11777
   Theatre Three is located just a short drive away from some of the best Port Jefferson homes for sale. On Sunday, December 5th, you can head over to the theater to see a live performance of Charles Dickons' A Christmas Carol. This production is in its 36th year, and it was chosen as Newsday's number-one holiday theatrical event.
   
   Performances are scheduled for select weekend dates beginning on November 13th and continuing through December 26th.
   
   
5. Port Jefferson Santa Parade: Main St., Port Jefferson, NY 11777
   There's tons of holiday fun in Port Jefferson this year! Their 2021 Santa Parade is scheduled for Sunday, November 28th from 3 pm to 4 pm. This free event will feature a variety of floats, vintage cars, and, of course, an appearance by the Big Guy himself. If you have kids or are a kid at heart, this is an event you won't want to miss.
